Coming up at Poetica + 163 Clovelly …

Lots happening at Poetica! Starting with tomorrow night – July 10 – Thursday at Poetica Petit with a brilliant line up including poet Willo Drummond and singer songwriter Lily B. Then on July 23 at 8pm, Poetica is hosting a sparkling new night – A WHOLE ALBUM – featuring Radiohead – In Rainbows. When’s the last time you listened to a whole album from start to finish? A Whole Album is a night for listening in high fidelity with no interruptions. It’s an opportunity to sit with others and enjoy the album in its entirety, the way it was meant to be heard. Which brings me to some fabulous news. 163 Clovelly is up and running with a new website, name and vibe. Here’s the history: 163 Clovelly – a space to gather.

Director Miriam Hechtman has been gathering people for decades. From poetry nights and live music to women’s events and creative workshops – Miriam has always had a knack for bringing people together with warmth, curiosity and wonder. After many years of hosting events in other people’s spaces, Miriam’s dream of having a room of her own became a reality when she found 163 Clovelly Rd. But the dream was not just for Miriam to host events and workshops – but for others to make the space their own too. A community of creatives.

163 Clovelly is a space where people can work, meet and create. The space can be hired as a venue or as a workspace. Currently the weekday 9-5 hours are available for hire on a more permanent basis so if you’re looking for a workspace – now is the time to enquire. Feel free to email or pop in or call.
