Starting with Poetica Petit on Oct 16 – to coincide with Woollahra Gallery’s Sculpture Prize – we are going to be upstairs in the gallery listening to musician jasper c-a with the prompts of the artwork to encourage us to write. You will have a chance to see all the sculptures at sunset. Then we have a very special feature set with poet, writer, editor, academic and reviewer – Devika Brendon who is visiting for a short time from Sri Lanka. then the open mic awaits your words. A night of letters between some much loved poets – from Bukowski to Dickinson, Woolf to Lorde, we have some gorgeous readers to deliver the letters. Welcoming back Olatundji Akpo-Sani, Jessica Chapnik Kahn and Kasturi Wren. The open mic is also an invitation to read us your letter to a poet, a friend, a lover.
