The weather is changing. Cooler mornings, earlier sunsets. We all know what this means. And for many – it brings the opportunity for more writing, reading, strumming, pondering, and an invite to retreat to observing our inner workings.
Poetica continues on her merry way. We have three more offerings til we move into April. First up – the incomparable Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds finally get their hour of deep listening at A Whole Album with Guy on March 24. The chosen album is Ghosteen – and if you don’t know it here is an opportunity to dive in. And if you do know it, here is an opportunity to dive in deeper. Bookings essential and limited spots. https://events.humanitix.com/a-whole-album-march-24-nick-cave-the-bad-seeds-ghosteen
Next up it’s back to back writing workshops with Miriam – Poems as Prompts on March 27 and Nite Writes on March 31. Different times of day bring different writings. You’re welcome to attend both. Nite Writes is not just poetry – it’s an opportunity to explore other writing styles. Booking for each one is here: https://events.humanitix.com/poems-as-prompts-writing-workshop-15 + https://events.humanitix.com/nite-writes-march-10
Then on April 16 at Poetica Petit we are thrilled to welcome back Ilan Kidron to share his album “Swimmer” with us. Ilan will feature as musician and poet on this night and will have a chat with Miriam about his process and the album. The theme for the open mic is WATER and you are welcome to try out some lyrics too. Bookings through Woollahra Gallery are here: https://poeticapetit2026.eventbrite.com.au
See you there x
