
Join the Sydney Jewish Museum for an evening of poetry readings and conversation with three Australian poets.
Renowned poet Mark Tredinnick will launch Michael Leibowitz’s book Looking In: Selected poems, published by the Sydney Jewish Museum. They will discuss the making of poetry and the role of poetry in a well-lived life.
Marcelle Freiman will also introduce her new collection Spirit Level.
Mark Tredinnick is a celebrated Australian poet with two Premier’s Prizes, the Montreal, Cardiff, Newcastle, Blake and ACU poetry prizes, and an OAM for services to literature and education.
Michael Leibowitz has had an ongoing love affair with the written word. During the pandemic, poetry visited Michael resulting in his collection of verse, Looking In: Selected poems.
Marcelle Freiman is a poet and researcher, whose works include Spirit Level, her third volume of poetry, and Monkey’s Wedding, which was Highly Commended for the Mary Gilmore Award. Her poem, The Dam, was also shortlisted for a poetry prize.
